Saudia flight change policy allows you to make changes to your flight for a fee (most cases) or free of charge (some cases), depending on your travel class, fare type, route, and when you’re making the changes. However, Economy Saver fares (where available) cannot be changed at all, regardless of route.

Below is a snapshot of Saudia flight change policy for international and domestic flights:

International Flights
- Flex and First Class tickets can be changed free of charge on all international routes at least 2 days before departure.
- If you change a flight within 2 days of departure (regardless of travel class or fare type except for Economy Saver), you will be charged a flight change fee, depending on your route.
- Economy Saver (U) fares for adults, children, and infants cannot be changed at all.
- The flight change fees for children are 25% less than the flight change fees for adults, depending on the travel class and route.
- The flight change fees for infants are 90% less than the flight change fees for adults, depending on the travel class and route.
- All EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) are subject to a flight change fee.
Domestic Flights
- All travel classes and fare types will incur a flight change fee.
- Changing a flight at least 2 days before departure is cheaper than changing it within 2 days of departure.
- Economy Saver (U) fares for adults, children, and infants cannot be changed at all.
- The flight change fees for children are 25% less than the flight change fees for adults, depending on the travel class and route.
- The flight change fees for infants are 90% less than the flight change fees for adults, depending on the travel class and route.
- All EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) are subject to a flight change fee.

Saudia Flight Change Policy Due to COVID-19

Although the earlier fee waivers due to COVID-19 are no longer effective, the fee waiver described below is still applicable. If you were refused boarding due to suspected COVID-19 infection or if you have been infected by COVID-19 14 days before/after your departure date and have a letter from the relevant authorities to confirm this, you have the option to:

Revalidate your ticket to the same destination later in the same class of service without being charged a flight change fee, as long as you do rebook only once.
Have your ticket reissued to the same destination without being charged a fee, as long as you do it only once and are willing to pay the fare difference if any.
Make a one-time itinerary change to a destination of your choice without paying any flight change fee, as long as you pay the applicable fare difference.
Refund your ticket without being charged any flight change fee.

Note. This fee/travel waiver applies to all domestic flights and international flights originating from Saudi Arabia.

Saudia Flight Change Policy Due to Death

In case of a passenger’s death or the death of the passenger’s immediate family member, you’re allowed to postpone (but not cancel) your flight by up to 45 days from the date of death, as long as you submit a valid death certificate (explained below).

If a passenger dies while travelling, the co-passengers are allowed to amend their tickets by changing the minimum period of stay by up to 45 days from the date of death.
If a passenger’s immediate family member dies, the validity of the passenger’s ticket (and of the immediate family members travelling with the passenger) can be amended by up to 45 days from the date of death.

Note. In all cases, you must submit a valid copy of the death certificate before departure.

Saudia Flight Change Policy Due to Illness

If you are unable to travel due to illness and can back it with a valid medical certificate, Saudia will extend your ticket’s validity period without charge until you’re fit to fly, unless the fare conditions of your ticket prevent this. If your flight coupon(s) include one or more stops, the validity of your ticket/tickets can be extended by up to 3 months from the date mentioned on your medical certificate. This benefit/travel waiver applies to you (i.e., the passenger who falls ill) and the immediate family members accompanying you.

Saudia Flight Change Process

How do I change my flight on Saudi Arabian Airlines?

You can make changes to your Saudia flight by phone, through a Saudia Sales Office, through your travel agent, or online through Saudia’s website.

To make changes to your flight by phone, call at Call Center in your city.

Alternatively, contact the travel agent you purchased your ticket from, get in touch with Saudia Sales Office in your city, or visit Saudia.com to change your flight yourself.

How to Change Your Flight Ticket Online

You can make changes to your ticket online if you purchased your ticket directly from Saudia’s website/app, Ticketing Office, or Call Center, as explained below.

Retrieve your flight reservation by entering your:
- Booking reference number
- Last name
Change your flight date/time and/or route
Pay the fare difference (if any)
Pay the flight change/reissue fee (if any)

Note

If you purchased your ticket from a travel agent or an online travel agency, you will need to contact them directly to make changes to your ticket.
Call a local call center if you’re calling from outside of Saudi Arabia.

Saudia Flight Change Fees

The flight change fees charged by Saudia will depend on your travel class, fare type, route, and when you make the changes, as indicated in the tables below.

Flight Change Fees for International Flights
- The flight change/reissue fee for international flights ranges from SAR 100–800, depending on your route, travel class, fare type, and time of cancellation.
- EMDs are subject to re-issue fees of SAR150 for adults, SAR75 for children, and SAR15 for infants.
Flight Change Fees for Domestic Flights
- The flight change/reissue fees on domestic routes within Saudi Arabia range from SAR57.50–345.
- EMDs for domestic flights are subject to re-issue fees of SAR115 for adults, SAR57.50 for children, and SAR11.50 for infants.
