• If you booked your flight with KLM, Delta, or Air France, you can change your departure time, travel date, and destination online through My Trip. You’ll be shown the best available options when changing/rebooking your flight. If your new ticket is costlier, you will need to pay the fare difference and if your new ticket is cheaper, you’ll be issued a voucher for future travel. 
• If you’ve already checked in for your flight, you must cancel your check-in before changing flights.
• If you book extra options for your flight (meal, seat, extra baggage, etc.), they will be automatically booked on your new flight. If the extra options are costlier, you’ll need to pay extra. Alternatively, you can cancel and refund them. If they’re cheaper, you’ll be issued a voucher for the balance amount. 
• If your flight is cancelled, you’ll be automatically rebooked on the next available flight. Alternatively, you can choose to fly on another flight that suits you via My Trip.
• If you want to change flights for only some passengers in a group booking, you can do it online via My Trip However, if your group includes 10 or more passengers, you’ll have to do it by phone. 
• To make changes to a Flying Blue reward ticket, you must contact Flying Blue customer service by phone at +1 800 375-8723 (toll-free from the U.S. and open 24/7) or online through your Flying Blue account.
• If you booked your ticket through a travel agent, you will need to contact the agent to change or cancel your flight. Alternatively, call KLM for information or assistance. 
• If your flight is cancelled, delayedby 5 hours or more, or you’ve been involuntarily denied boarding, you can:
  • Cancel your flight and obtain a refund, and 
  • Request reimbursement for:
    • The unused parts of your journey, and 
    • The used parts of your journey if onward flight no longer serves any purpose
• You could be entitled to compensation if:
  • Your flight is cancelled or delayed and your arrival time is at least 3 hours after the original scheduled time, and
  • You flew from, to, or through a European destination, and 
  • Your flight delay or cancellation did not result from special circumstances over which KLM had no control—such as bad weather, third-party strikes, political instability, ATC issues, etc.

How to Change a KLM Flight Online?

2. Go to My Trip 
3. To access your reservation, log in:
   1. To your account with your Flying Blue number or email address, or 
   2. With your booking details (booking code and last name)
4. View your flight details and make the changes as needed (such as your flight date, time, or destination)
5. After making the necessary changes, review the updated details 
6. Confirm the changes
7. Pay the applicable flight change fee and fare difference 

You will receive a confirmation email (with a new ticket) by email as soon as your payment is received.

How to change flight dates online?

To change your flight date online with KLM, visit KLM website and select My Trip to log in to your account. If you don’t have an account, access your flight booking with your booking code and last name. After logging in, select the flight you want to change and follow the prompts to select new travel dates.

• KLM Change Fee within Europe
  • The flight change fee for Economy Light tickets is EUR 70 (plus the fare difference) and applies only to flights departing from Denmark, Belgium, Finland, Estonia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. 
  • Standard Economy tickets can be changed without paying any fee. However, the fare difference must be paid. 
  • Flex tickets can be changed without paying any fees but the fare difference must be paid.
• KLM International Flight Change Fee. KLM international flight change fees are as follows:
  • KLM Change Fee between Europe and Africa
    • Applies to Economy Class and Premium Comfort Class tickets.
    • The flight change fee for Economy Light tickets is EUR 200 plus the fare difference. 
    • Standard tickets can be changed without paying any flight change fee, but the fare difference must be paid.
    • Flex tickets can be changed without any fee but you’ll have to pay the fare difference, if any.
  • KLM Change Fee on Intercontinental Routes
    • Applies to Economy and Premium Comfort Class tickets.
    • The flight change fee for Economy Light tickets is EUR 200, unless:
      • Your flight departs from Austria, Albania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Croatia, France, Italy, Iceland, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, or the United States, or 
      • You’re flying between the Caribbean, South or Central, or 
      • You’re flying in the overseas territories of France
    • You can change a Standard ticket without paying any flight change fee, but you’ll have to pay the fare difference.
    • You can change a Flex ticket without any fee but you’ll have to pay the fare difference.

However, this only applies to flights from, to, or through a European destination and the reason for the cancellation or delay is not due to extraordinary circumstances like extreme weather, a third-party strike, political instability, etc., over which KLM has no control. 

KLM Free Flight Change

You can change a flight for free with KLM if you’re travelling on a Flex ticket, Business Class ticket, a Standard Economy ticket, or if you’ve purchased the Flexibility option, as long as you make the changes before departure and pay the fare difference.
