Ethiopian Airlines flight change policy has changed and now allows you to change your flight schedule without penalty. The new flight change policy applies to all passengers holding ET flight tickets (071) issued on or before December 31, with a travel date between March 1, and March 31.
Can I change my flight schedule on Ethiopian Airlines for free?
Ethiopian Airlines allows you to change your flight schedule free of charge, subject to a few conditions. The revised Ethiopian Airlines flight change policy, which applies to tickets issued before December 31, for travel by March 31, allows you to:
- Make unlimited date changes free of charge.
- Reroute your flight to a different destination if you pay the difference in fares and taxes.
Important. If you’re unable to travel on the originally scheduled date, you must:
- Cancel your existing ticket, and
- Change your ticket (i.e., exchange it with a new travel date) at least 1 day before departure
Note. The validity of non-refundable tickets issued before December 31, 2020, has been extended till December 31, 2021. This means you must complete your travel on or before December 31, 2021. Tickets issued on or after January 1, 2021, will be subject to the prevailing fare rules of the ticket.
