  • Economy Class Web Saver fares (K/M)
  • Economy Class Web Freedom fares (Y)
  • Business Class Blue Ribbon fares (D/C/J)
• If you’re unable to travel (before or after commencing your journey) due to illness, Bangkok Airways may allow you—and the family members accompanying you—to extend your ticket’s validity without paying any additional charge, as long as:
  • You travel in the same travel class
  • You provide a valid medical certificate 
  • You book your new travel within 3 months from the issue date of the medical certificate
• If a passenger or the passenger’s immediate family member dies, the validity of the ticket/minimum stay period of the passengers accompanying the deceased passenger (or the passenger whose family member has died) will be increased by a maximum of 45 days from the deceased person’s date of death at no additional cost. However, the extension will only be provided upon the presentation of a valid death certificate.

Am I allowed to change my Bangkok Airways flight if I fall ill?

If you’re unable to travel because you’ve fallen ill: 

• You and the family members travelling with you on the same booking can postpone your flight without paying a change fee or a No-Show fee until you’re ready to travel again, as long as:
  • You can present a valid medical certificate, and 
  • Your new travel date is within 3 months of the issue date of your medical certificate

If a passenger’s immediate family member (or the passenger) dies, Bangkok Airways will extend the validity of the ticket/minimum stay period of the passenger (or the passengers travelling with the deceased passenger) by no more than 45 days at no additional cost, subject to a valid death certificate.

The Bangkok Airways change flight policy lets you make changes to your flight:

• By calling or a Bangkok Airways office near you
• Online through:
  • The Manage My Booking option on Bangkok Airways website, or
  • Bangkok Airways mobile app 

(Only if the ticket was purchased directly from Bangkok Airways)

• Through your travel agency

How to Change Flights Online on Bangkok Airways 

If you made your original flight booking via Bangkok Airways website or mobile app, you can use the Manage My Booking option to quickly modify your flight yourself till 4 hours prior to departure. Remember, if you’ve booked your flight through a travel agent, you must contact the travel agent directly to make changes to your ticket. 

To change/modify your flight online:

1. Go to BangkokAir.com 
2. Click on Manage My Booking (under the booking box)
   The Manage My Booking page will show up

3. Enter your Booking Reference and Surname/Last Name 
4. Hit the Search button 

Your flight information will show up 

5. Select the flight you want to modify 
6. Select the Exchange Flight option on the right side
7. Follow the prompts to change your flight 
8. Pay the fare difference (if any)

You will receive a confirmation email with your new flight details. 

Note. You will not be able to make flight changes online if you’ve already made changes to your booking once. In such cases, you must call Bangkok Airways to request the required flight change(s).
