The Air Transat change flight policy allows free flight changes to all types of tickets (incl. Eco Budget), within 24 hours of purchase. You can modify all other fares (except Eco Budget) without penalty up to 24 hours before departure, as long as you pay the difference in fares at the time of rebooking. Option Flex fares (Standard/Extra) for South and Europe can additionally be modified (dates, destination, and/or hotel accommodation if you pay the fare difference) or transferred to a friend at no additional charge.
Note: If the new package re-booked by you is costlier, you’ll have to pay the fare difference.
Note: You may be entitled to a compensation of CAD 125 (for small carrier flights) and CAD 400 (for large carrier flights) if the flight delay/cancellation is within Air Transat’s control, no safety issues were involved, and you were informed within 14 days of your original flight’s departure.
Air Transat does not charge a change fee, as long as you change your flight ticket within the permissible deadlines. You cannot make flight changes to Eco Budget fares outside of the 24-hour grace period but you can change all other fares (Eco Standard, Eco Flex, Club Standard, and Club Flex) without paying any change fee, provided:

Air Transat Travel Credits for bookings made online can only be applied toward the products for which they were issued. If your Travel Credit was issued against the cancellation of a package, it can only be used to book a new package, and if it was issued against the cancellation of a flight, it can only be used to book a new flight.
If your new trip/package is cheaper, the Air Transat change flight policy allows you to use the balance amount to purchase other products or book another trip. It also allows the use of travel credits in multiple installments, as they have no expiration date and are fully transferrable.
If your flight is disrupted due to reasons within the airline’s control and not because of safety reasons, you are entitled to the following compensation:
If your flight departs from an EU airport and you have not received re-routing assistance, and you are denied boarding or your flight is delayed by 2 hours or more, you may be entitled to certain treatment standards under European Union Air passenger rights. To make a flight disruption claim, you will need to submit a request through this form within 1 year of your flight’s disruption date. You will hear from Air Transat within 30 days of receiving your claim.
If you want to claim insurance, you can download and submit a certificate of delay, as long as you submit it within 120 days of your original departure date.

If Air Transat changed your flight date and the substitute flight offered to you doesn’t suit you, can make changes to it at no additional charge, unless you’re changing destinations (in which case you’ll have to pay the fare difference, if any).
If you’ve purchased an Option Flex Standard package, you can change your travel date, destination, or hotel accommodation up to 72 hours before departure or transfer the package to a friend up to 30 days before departure (both without penalty).
If you’ve purchased an Option Flex Extra package, you can make changes to your travel date, destination, or hotel up to 24 hours prior to departure or transfer your package to a friend up to 30 days prior to departure (both without penalty).
Remember, if the price of your new package exceeds that of your old package, you will have to pay the difference.
