Air France Change Flight Guide

The Air France flight change policy allows you to make changes to your ticket if the fare conditions on your ticket allow flight changes to be made. The major highlights of the airline’s flight change policy are as follows:

• You can modify your ticket if the fare conditions on your ticket allow you to do so. 
• The fare conditions of your ticket will be mentioned on your booking confirmation mail and ticket.
• Changeable tickets can be modified by phone or online. 
• Online flight changes can be made through the My Bookings tab on Air France’s website.
• To change your flight online, retrieve your flight booking and then:
  • Change your flight dates, schedule, or travel itinerary
  • Change your travel class
  • Update your contact details 
  • Select or modify your seat preference

Flight Rebooking Options

In response to the COVID-19 situation, Air France has waived the flight change and/or cancellation fees, based on your ticket’s issue and travel-by date, as explained below.

1. For tickets issued prior to March 1, 2022, with atravel date on/before June 30, 2022, you can:
   • Postpone your flight and travel later without incurring a flight change fee, provided you pay the applicable fare difference (if any). However, this travel waiver does not apply to group fares and allotments. 
   • Cancel your flight and request a refundable travel voucher to book your flight up to 1 year from the date of issue of the voucher for any type of ticket. Alternatively, you can request a refund if your ticket’s fare conditions permit, except for group fares and allotments. 
2. For tickets issued prior to March 1, 2022, with a travel date on/after July 1, 2022, you can:
   • Postpone your flight and travel later without incurring a flight change fee, provided you pay the applicable fare difference (if any). However, this travel waiver does not apply to group fares and allotments. 
   • Cancel your flight and request a non-refundable travel voucher to book your flight up to 1 year from the date of issue of the voucher for any type of ticket. Alternatively, you can request a refund if your ticket’s fare conditions permit, except for group fares and allotments. 
3. For tickets issued between March 1, 2022—June 28, 2022, you can:
   • Postpone your flight and travel later without incurring a flight change fee, provided you pay the applicable fare difference (if any). However, this travel waiver does not apply to group fares and allotments. 
   • Cancel your flight and request a non-refundable travel voucher to book your flight up to 1 year from the date of issue of the voucher for any type of ticket. Alternatively, you can request a refund if your ticket’s fare conditions permit, except for group fares and allotments. 
4. For tickets issued on or after June 29, 2022, you can:
   • Modify or cancel your flight booking, subject to your ticket’s fare conditions. You will most likely be charged a flight change fee/cancellation fee plus the applicable fare difference.

How to Change Flight Time/Flight Date on Air France

You can modify the flight time and/or date or return flight date on Air France:

1. For tickets purchased online from Air France’s website, mobile app, ticket counter, or call center, you can make changes:
   • Online through My Bookings. 
   • By phone. 
2. For tickets purchased from a travel agent, contact them directly.
3. For reward tickets, contact Flying Blue directly.

How to Change Your Air France Flight Online?

If you booked directly through Air France’s website, mobile app, ticket counter, or call center, you can change your flight date, time, and/or destination online through My Bookings as explained below. 

1. Go to the official site, AirFrance.com 
2. Click on the My Bookings tab
   The Your booking page will open on your screen

3. Retrieve your booking by entering your booking reference and last name 
4. Click on the Search button
5. Select the flight booking you want to change
6. Follow the prompts to:
   1. Change the date, flight schedule, and travel itinerary 
   2. Change your travel class 
   3. Change your seat preference 
   4. Pay the fare difference (if any)

If the option to change your flight is not available, contact the local Air France office in your area. You can also change your Air France flight booking through the mobile app. 

Air France Flight Change Charge 

Administrative flight change charges at Air France

• No administrative flight change charges will apply if you change your Air France flight:
  • Online.
  • From a self-service kiosk.
• You will be charged USD 20 if you change your flight at the airport or a city ticket office.
• If you’re modifying a ticket purchased from a third party, you will be charged:
  • USD 50 for non-full-flex tickets (city office or by phone). 

USD 0 for full-flex tickets.
