• Air Europa change flight policy for short-, medium-, and long-haul fights allows you to change all types of tickets with or without a change fee. However, you must pay the fare difference if the original tariff is not available.
  • Economy Lite and Economy Standard tickets can be changed for a fee.
  • Economy Flex tickets can be changed without any fee.
  • Premium Standard tickets (available on long-haul routes), can be changed for a fee.

• The flight change fee will depend on your fare type and route (short-/medium- or long-haul).
• Air Europa change flight policy does not allow you to modify extra services unless the airline makes changes to your flight, in which case the extra service/services will be made available to you at no cost for an equivalent service or a lower-category service if the same service is not available on the new flight. 
• If your flight departure from an airport in the European Union isdelayed by more than 5 hours (or if your flight is cancelled), you can:
  • Continue your travel on the same or substitute flight at no additional charge, or
  • Obtain a full refund of your ticket within 7 days. The refund can be for the segment of the trip not made plus the segment of the trip made already if the flight does not serve any purpose. And if travelling further makes no sense, you can also request to be transported back to your starting point (at no additional cost) as quickly as possible. 
• If a flight departing from an airport in the European Union arrives at your final destination3 or more hours after the originally scheduled arrival time of your flight, you may be entitled to compensation ranging from €250 – 600, depending on the flight distance and length of the delay. However, you will not be entitled to any compensation if:
  • Your flight was delayed due to extraordinary circumstances beyond the airline’s control.
  • You’re offered an alternative flight with similar departure and arrival timings.
• If you fall ill or are hospitalized after purchasing your ticket and are unable to start or continue your trip, Air Europa will extend the validity period of your ticket (as well as the validity of the relatives accompanying you) until you’re fit to travel.
  • Your new flight will be subject to seat availability in the same travel class. 
  • If the same travel class is not available, you must pay the fare difference. 
  • You must present a proper medical certificate proving your inability to travel within 3 days before/after your flight. 
  • The maximum period of ticket extension is 45 days from your initial flight date, with an additional extension of 45 days if you provide a new, updated medical certificate. 
• In case a passenger dies during the trip, the tickets of the passengers accompanying the deceased passenger can be modified by up to 20 days from the date of death (the minimum stay clause will no longer apply), subject to the presentation of a death certificate.  
• To make changes to a ticket purchased from a travel agent, you must contact the agent directly.

Air Europa change fees will depend on your travel class and flight distance (short-/medium-haul or long-haul), as shown below. Whether or not you’re charged the change fee, you must pay the fare difference (in all cases) if the original tariff is no longer available.

• Air Europa flight change fee for long-haul flights is:
  • USD 175/€150 for Economy Lite and Economy Standard fares plus the applicable fare difference, if any.
  • Nil for Economy Flex fares but you must pay the fare difference, if any.
  • USD 175/€150 for Premium Standard fares plus the applicable fare difference, if any.
  • Nil for Premium Flex fares, but you must pay the applicable fare difference, if any.
  • USD 175/€150 for Business Standard (D, I, O) fares plus the applicable fare difference, if any.
  • Nil for Business Flex (J, C, D, I, O) fares, but you must pay the fare difference, if any.
• Air Europa change fee for short- and medium-haul flights is:
  • USD/€60 for Economy Lite fares plus the applicable fare difference, if any.
    (USD/€100 for flights departing from Tel Aviv)
  • USD/€45 for Economy Standard fares plus the applicable fare difference, if any.
    (USD/€75 for flights departing from Tel Aviv)
  • Nil for Economy Flex fares, but the fare difference (if any) will apply.

How to change your flight online with Air Europa?

You can change your flight online if you booked your ticket directly with Air Europa. To do so, go to the airline’s homepage (AirEuropa.com), click on the Manage your reservation link on top, and access your flight booking from the My trips page that shows up by entering your booking reference or ticket number and surname. Once you have accessed your booking, you can make changes such as modifying the flight date or time, upgrading your seat or cabin class, or adding additional services like extra baggage allowance or in-flight meals. Changes are subject to availability and additional fees. After you confirm the changes and pay, you will receive your new itinerary by email.

How to Change Domestic National Flights for Free

If you purchase Air Europa Change Option for a domestic national flight:

• You can make a free one-time change to your flight date and/or route. 
• You must make the change at least 2 hours before departure time without paying any administration or penalty charges.
• If no seats are available in the same travel class, you will have to pay the fare difference.
• You can use the Change Option for both your outbound and return flights as long as you request in the same phone call. 

Points to Remember 

• You can select the Change Option only at the time of booking or on the day of purchase. 
• The fee is applicable on a per-passenger basis.
• You can include the Change Option only for airfares that allow changes with any penalty. However, you can include it in a Lite no-baggage fare even though it does not allow flight changes.
