Payment method. If eligible, you will receive your denied boarding compensation by cheque or draft on the and at the place where the involuntary boarding denial occurs. Exceptions to denied boarding compensation. You will not be eligible to receive any refund or denied boarding compensation if you have not complied with Sunwing’s requirements for ticketing, cut-off times, reconfirmation requirements, or if you’re not accepted for travel due to the airline’s rules/practices, or if you’re offered different accommodations on the aircraft at no extra charge, etc.
If your flight was cancelled or delayed by 3 hours or more due to reasons within the airline’s control and you were notified less than 14 days before departure, you can claim the following compensation for the inconvenience:
Payment method. You can receive the compensation in the form of cash or Future Travel Vouchers with no expiry date.
Exceptions. You will not be allowed to claim compensation if your flight was cancelled or delayed due to reasons outside of the airline’s control or was necessary for reasons of safety.
How to claim compensation for flight cancellations/delays. To submit a claim for refund or compensation, you will need to provide your flight details and other information 48 hours after arrival but no later than 1 year after the date of disruption through Sunwing Airlines’ Refund or Compensation Claim page (after submitting, you will shortly hear from a Sunwing representative). If your flight was cancelled or delayed for safety reasons, you have the option to take the next available flight to your destination or claim a refund on the unused part of your ticket.
