If you find yourself in a situation that calls for cancelling your booking with Allegiant, it pays to understand Allegiant Airlines’ cancellation policy so that you can save yourself time and money.

What is the cancellation policy for Allegiant Airlines’ Trip Flex tickets?
Allegiant Airlines’ cancellation policy for Trip Flex ticket add-ons allows you to cancel any ticket within 24 hours of purchase without being charged a cancellation fee. After 24 hours, Trip Flex allows you to make a one-time change to your flight’s date and/or destination—up to 1 hour before departure—with zero cancellation fee (but within certain guidelines). After you cancel your ticket, you will be issued a non-refundable credit for future travel on Allegiant.
Remember, you can only purchase Trip Flex (typically for USD 29 – 43) at the time of booking—you cannot add it later. Also, the amount paid for Trip Flex is non-refundable.
Tip. Cancelling a ticket without penalty does not make it non-refundable. If you cancel your flight with the Trip Flex add-on, the credit balance cannot be refunded—it can only be applied toward future travel on Allegiant.

The Allegiant cancelled flight policy applies to flights cancelled by Allegiant. Under this policy, if your flight has been cancelled for any reason, you have 2 options:

What is the cancel fee charged by Allegiant?
The flight cancellation fee charged by Allegiant Air is USD 75 per passenger per flight segment for standard tickets. However, if your flight is covered by the COVID-19 fee relaxations, the cancellation charges are USD 25 per passenger per flight segment.
If you have an Allegiant Flight Voucher / Credit Voucher and want to use it, you will need to make a new booking as explained below.
The Allegiant Air refund policy covers all types of refunds, including the refund of fees for unused optional services due to oversells and flight cancellations. Under this policy:
You are eligible for a penalty-free refund on all Allegiant flights if you book your ticket at least 7 days (168 hours) before departure and cancel within 24 hours of purchase.
You can cancel any flight without penalty and get a full refund—provided you cancel it within 24 hours of purchasing and at least 7 days before your flight’s departure. After 24 hours, all flights are non-refundable—but you will be issued a credit voucher that you must utilize:
1. Within 2 years of the original date of booking if it was issued between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
2. Within 1 year from the original date of booking if it was issued on/after July 2024.
However, if you’ve purchased a Trip Flex travel protection, you can change your flight dates at least 1 hour before departure without being charged any cancellation fees. If you don’t, you’ll be charged the applicable change fee.
If you cancel your Allegiant flight within 24 hours of purchasing it—and at least 7 days prior to your flight—you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel after 24 hours of making a reservation, you will be charged USD 25 (normally USD 75) per passenger, per segment if the COVID-19 relaxations still apply. A travel credit will then be issued to you minus the applicable cancelation fee.
If you’ve bought the Trip Flex add-on, you can cancel your reservation (more accurately, postpone your reservation) without having to pay any cancellation fee.
Unless you cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking and at least 7 days before departure, Allegiant will not refund your money directly. You will receive a Credit Voucher toward a future flight for the full value of your ticket if you’ve purchased the Trip Flex add-on.
After 24 hours, all tickets are non-refundable. If you cancel your ticket, you’ll be issued a credit voucher valid for 2 years of the original date of booking if it was issued between January 1, 2023—June 30, 2024, and for 1 year from the original date of booking if it was issued on/after July 2024.
Allegiant flight vouchers/Credit Vouchers issued between January 1, 2023—June 30, 2024, are valid for 2 years from the original date of booking those issued on/after July 2024 are valid for 1 year from the original date of booking.
Being an ultra-low-cost airline, Allegiant does not allow bereavement-related refunds, unless you cancel within 24 hours of purchasing your ticket—and you booked your ticket at least 7 days before departure.
