Asiana Airlines excess baggage fees for domestic routes within Korea is KRW 2,000 per kilo. For example, if you’re carrying 11lb/5kg of additional baggage, you’ll be charged KRW 10,000 for it.
Asiana Airlines Baggage Policy for Special Baggage
If you’re carrying special baggage which is different size and shape from normal baggage and/or is more prone to damage during transportation:
- You should pack it securely inside a case.
- You can pay a special fee for it to guarantee it from damage.
- The maximum valuation must not exceed USD 2,500.

Note
- Baggage benefits for sports equipment on domestic routes have been discontinued. If you’re travelling domestically within Korea, you will be charged a baggage handling fee of KRW 10,000 for large baggage.
- Sporting equipment measuring up to 277cm/109in in linear dimensions (L + W + H) will not be charged, but anything in excess will not be accepted.
- For Asiana Club Excellence members, weight benefits do not apply toward golf, snowboard, and skiing equipment.
CPAP Devices
You’re allowed to carry a CPAP machine for sleep apnea only on the following conditions:
- You must inform Asiana Airlines while booking.
- You may need to carry a doctor’s note for air travel.
- The equipment must be battery-operated.
- You must ensure that your battery supplies last for about 150% of the total flight time.
- The battery capacity must not exceed 160 Wh.
Other Medical Equipment
Other medical equipment you’re allowed to carry include:
- Cabin stretcher
- Book at least 1 week in advance.
- Must be accompanied by medical staff.
- Must pay 6 times the Economy Class fare as charges.
- Medical oxygen
