What is Saudi Arabian Airlines check-in time?
The check-in counters at Saudia open 3 hours before departure for international flights and 2 hours before departure for domestic flights. Saudia recommends that reach the airport at least 3 hours before departure for international flights and at least 2 hours before departure for domestic flights within Saudi Arabia.
The check-in counters close 60 minutes before departure for international and domestic flights.
The boarding gates close 20 minutes before departure, but you must be at the boarding gateat least 1 hour before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
Online/Web Check-in Time
You can check in online for domestic and international flights from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure.
Mobile App Check-in Time
You can mobile check in for domestic and international flights (except USA flights) from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure.
Airport Kiosk Check-in Time
You can check in at a self-service kiosk from 24 hours to 1 hour before departure and receive a printout of your boarding pass. This check-in facility is currently available only for domesticflights within Saudi Arabia.
Airport Counter Check-in Time
You can check in at a Saudia airport counter:
From 3 hours to 1 hour before departure for international flights.
From 2 hours to 1 hour before departure for domestic flights.

About Saudi Arabian Airlines’ online check-in process
You can check in online (web check-in) from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure for domestic and most international flights (unless stated otherwise). The online check-in service is available for all passengers holding confirmed, valid e-Tickets.
To check in online from Saudia’s website, follow the steps below:
Go to Saudia.com
Click on the Online Check in tab (as shown above)
Check the box against I have read theTerms and Conditions
Click on the Proceed button The Check in now page will show up on your screen (see below)
Select from the dropdown box how you want to check in:
With your 6-digit alphanumeric booking reference code
With your 12-digit numeric booking reference number
With your 13-digit e-ticket number
With your frequent flyer number (appears in your registration email)
Enter the required details
Click on the I agree and start check-in button
Follow the on-screen prompts to check in
You will receive your online boarding pass by email.
On the Day of Travel
Fill out your exit card and present it to the passports authorities.
Drop your baggage at the bag drop counter/any vacant counter) at least 2 hours before departure to ensure your baggage is accepted before the counters close.
After completing your check-in procedures, proceed directly to the departure lounge.
Reach your assigned boarding gate when boarding is announced.
The Saudia staff will verify that the name printed on your ticket and boarding pass match the name on your travel documents.
Exceptions to Web Check-In
The following passengers are not allowed to check in online—they must check in at the airport:
Passengers who have requested a wheelchair (or require special assistance at the airport/on the flight)
Passengers who have booked an extra seat
Passengers with visual impairments

Note
After your boarding pass is printed:
You must drop off your luggage at least 2 hours before departure at the baggage drop counter or any vacant counter.
You must present the credit card you used to purchase your ticket at the check-in counter (for verifications purposes).
You must be at the boarding gate at least 1 hour before departure.
It is mandatory to produce valid photo identification, such as your passport/official photo ID, before boarding.
Important
Your seat will be cancelled if:
You arrive late at the boarding gate.
You don’t have valid travel documents.
Saudia Mobile App Check-in
You can check in with the mobile app from 48 hours to 1 hour before departure for domestic and most international flights (except the USA).
To check in with the mobile app:

Check in and download your mobile boarding pass
When checking in with the mobile app, you can also:

Note. If you’re using the mobile app for iPhone, use Passbook to download the boarding pass for all passengers. This will ensure that your boarding pass/passes are saved to your iPhone and you won’t have to worry about an internet connection at the airport.
Saudia Airport Kiosk Check-in
Self-service kiosks are a great way to can avoid long lines at the airport. Such kiosks are currently available at most domestic airports, Saudia Sales Offices, and governments offices in Saudi Arabia.
You can check in and receive a copy of your boarding pass from 24 hours to 1 hour before departure. This facility is currently not available for international routes.

How to Check in at a Saudia Self-Service Kiosk
Step 1. Identify yourself by selecting your:
Confirmation Number
E-Ticket Number
Frequent Flyer Card Number
Step 2. Enter your numerical/alphabetical digital confirmation number and hit the Confirm button.
Step 3. Select your nationality and click on the Confirm button.
Step 4. Confirm your itinerary and seat, and click on the Confirm button.
Step 5. Print your boarding pass.
Now proceed to the bag drop counter to drop off your checked bags, then go through the security checkpoint and to the boarding gate. If you’re not carrying any checked bags, go straight to the security checkpoint and the boarding gate.

Saudia Airport Counter Check-in
You can check in at a Saudia airport counter from:
3 hours to 1 hour before departure for international flights.
2 hours to 1 hour before departure for domestic flights.
To avoid last-minute rush, you should reach the airport at least:
3 hours before departure for an international flight.
2 hours before departure for a domestic flight.
The check-in counters close:
1 hour before departure for international flights.
1 hour before departure for domestic flights.
Although the boarding gates close 20 minutes before departure, you must reach the boarding gate at least 1 hour before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
After reporting at the check-in counter
Present your passport and valid travel documents.
Inform the staff how many carry-on and checked bags you are carrying.
You may be asked the following questions:
Did you pack your baggage personally?
Are you aware of the contents of your baggage?
Did you leave your bags unattended?
You will be asked whether your baggage contains hazardous materials and presented with a list of prohibited hazardous materials.
You will be able to select your seat (subject to availability).
If you’re travelling on First Class or Business Class, you will receive an invitation card to a special passenger lounge.
If you’re travelling with your family or in a group, you are entitled to a cumulative baggage allowance, even if you’re travelling in different classes.
If you’re carrying additional baggage, you will be charged excess baggage charges.

Travel Documents and Other Requirements for Passengers
You must hold a valid, confirmed ticket.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel until your return date. However, if you’re travelling to an Arab country on a Saudi passport, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months.
Your travel documents (passport/visa/ticket/entry permit) must be valid and in good condition, i.e., they must not be affected by tearing, scratches, puncture, or rupture marks.
If you’re travelling to a country that requires an advance visa or limits the number of entries, make sure you have it before travelling.
If you’re a GCC citizen travelling between GCC countries, the acceptable travel document is a Passport/National ID Card (new version).
You must have your National Identity Card if you’re travelling within Saudi Arabia.
You must ensure that you have provided the correct mobile number.
Your ticket must have been issued within the acceptable time limit so that it’s not cancelled.
Your baggage must conform to Saudia’s baggage policy.
Guidance For Passengers Travelling to the United Kingdom
If you’re travelling to the United Kingdom, you must meet the following conditions:
Fill out your Advance Passenger Information (API) carefully and in advance.
You must complete a Landing Card before arriving at border control if you’re not UK/EEA national (European Economic Area).
If you are travelling with your family, proceed to passport control together.
You can use the ePassport gates if you’re a UK/EEA national, at least 18 years old, and have an electronic passport with the displayed on the front.
EEA nationals who want to use the ePassport gates must use their passports and not their ID cards.
Passengers travelling with children below 18 who are not their children or who do not share the same surname may be asked about their relationship with the child.
Non-EEA visitors may have to answer simple questions by Border Force officers about their stay in the UK upon arriving at passport control. It’s always a good idea to keep the details of your visit in your hand baggage, such as where you are staying, etc.
Meat and dairy products from outside the EU are not allowed. Plus, there are restrictions on food products like eggs, fish, some fruit, vegetables, honey, plants, and traditional medicines.
