Does Allegiant allow a change of passenger name?

The Allegiant Air name change policy allows minor name corrections due to misspellings, but not full name changes—unless the name change is due to marriage, divorce, or some other reason and is supported by legal documentation. 

Allegiant Airlines does not allow passengers to transfer their tickets to other persons.

How to Change Passenger Name on Allegiant Airlines? 

If you have changed your last name or if your name has been misspelled, you must contact Allegiant Airlines Reservations and get your name corrected before flying. You can do this in 3 ways: 

1. By phone. As soon as you discover that your name is spelled incorrectly or need to have your name corrected due to a change of name, call Allegiant Airlines (or your travel agent) and inform them about the problem. You will be asked for your confirmation number, so have it ready with you when you call.
   
   Minor name corrections can be made free of charge, but name changes will typically incur a name change fee.
   
2. By visiting an Allegiant Airlines office in your area. You can also visit an Allegiant Airlines office in your area and request them to correct or change your name. Be sure to carry the necessary documentation, such as a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport), marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.
   
   Remember, you will be charged a name change fee per applicable rates unless it’s a minor name correction due to a spelling error.

Correcting name-related errors is important because TSA rules require all names to appear exactly as they do on government-issued photo IDs, such as a driver’s license or passport. If the name on your ticket doesn’t match the name on your government-issued photo ID, you may not be allowed to board your flight.

How much does it cost to change the name on a plane ticket in Allegiant?

The Allegiant name change fee will be USD 0 for making minor name corrections to your first or last name. However, major name corrections that involve reissuing your ticket may incur a flight change fee of USD 75 per passenger for tickets booked without Trip Flex and the applicable fare difference, if any. However, you must make the name change at least 7 days before departure.
For tickets booked with Trip Flex, no name change fee may apply, since you’re allowed to change or cancel such tickets within 1 hour of departure.
