JetBlue Cancellation Policy

What is JetBlue cancellation policy?

JetBlue has changed its cancellation policies and made them very customer-friendly. You can now cancel all tickets (except Blue Basic) without being charged a cancellation fee.

Under the current JetBlue airlines cancellation policy

  • Blue, Blue Extra, Blue Plus, and Mint fares can be cancelled without any cancellation fee, as long as you cancel your booking before departure.

You’re also allowed to make a confirmed same-day switch for USD 75 per passenger, but this fee does not apply to Mosaic members and Blue Extra fares.
  • Blue Basic fares will incur cancellation fees of:
    • USD 100 per passenger for flights within North America, the Caribbean, and Central America.
    • USD 200 per passenger for all other routes

You can also make a same-day confirmed switch for USD 75 per passenger, but Mosaic members are exempted.

Note

  • A USD 25 non-refundable fee will be charged per passenger for cancelling by phone. This fee will be charged in addition to the applicable cancellation charges (if any). However, you can avoid this fee by cancelling online at JetBlue.com or via chat.
  • If you cancel a non-refundable fare, the value of your fare will be held in the form of a JetBlue Travel Credit for future travel on JetBlue (typically within 12 months). The details can be accessed via your Travel Bank account.
  • If you book through a third party, contact them directly for cancellation assistance.

JetBlue 24-Hour Cancellation Policy

If you booked your ticket at least 7 days before your flight’s departure date, you are allowed to cancel it within 24 hours of booking without being charged a cancellation fee. The 24-hour cancellation policy at JetBlue applies to all types of tickets, including nonrefundable tickets—but not to JetBlue Vacations bookings.
